India 2013

Welcoming India 2013, Ma Showers Blessings, soul dances fearlessly....

Arrived in India earlier this year, two days after my birthday party in Israel. Decided to establish myself for a few months in Goa to relax, to practice and share with the artist community that comes every year for the season. Found a great house 5mts into Pernem Rd with a big Banyon Tree as my front yard and an amazing jungle as my back yard. Transformed my living room into a dance studio.
So far everything was perfect. Nature, silence and privacy. Priceless in India!!

5 months have passed by and now that Im on my way out of India again, I reflect on the gratitude for these months of pure devotion to my dance and my art. Many of hours of dance practice and researching. Great collaborations were created in my dance studio and opportunities to share my passion with women who are amazing dancers and seekers of movement and healing threw dance.
I travel most of the year so it was really great to finally have a house of my own and ground in to my art. Although my practice was based on teaching myself, I realize that I am capable of evolving as a dancer and not being dependent on a everyday teacher. Of course, Im aware that having a guide is essencial for a perfected art but doing it alone also has is power. And now, I have experienced that.
I have kept my house and decided to make Goa/India my home base. This is a big step for me. But it feels so right!!
With the blessings om Ma, I will be living in India permanently.

On may way up north I passed by Jaisalmer to visit a friend. Imammdin Khan from the Rajasthani Gypsy Caravan. Iman has invited me several times to visit his home and family. So I finally did. On the way I also met up with the famous Queeny Harish.
Wow!! So, its a desert right. But also it was 47 degrees outside, the hotest time of the year!!
I fried!! but thanks to the great AC rooms at Hotel Haveli my time was gracious.
Meeting Iman and his family was so beautiful. They welcomed me with a traditional dress from Rajasthan and all the accessories. The women of the house blessed me with their Shakti and I felt so wonderfully overwhelmed by these beautiful women on the desert. Receiving there love opened my heart. Later on, we went on a desert safari and I saw a Kalbeliya band with dancers. It was great! Got dance with the girls and whirl under the desert stars.
Iman is a sweet soul and Im so grateful to have met him. We are creating a project together and with the blessing of Sati, it will be successful.
Queen Harish!! Harish to his close friends. Was a total surprise!! Not only is he an amazing artist but he's a great soul. Very devoted to his spiritual practices and to his family. Wonderful to witness.. We spent some quality time together and even came on the newspaper and TV. Only in India in such a short time! :)
Im grateful to have met him and his story has inspired me in many ways. His medicine was exactly what I needed now.
Now Im on my way to Delhi. My favorite city in India! Its damme hot but after Jaisalmer I think I can survive anything! 4 days cruising the city and shopping then Im on my way to BKK and San Fran.

Thank you Mama India!
You are my University on how to live Life.

You are the Portal of my Art.
Forever I will be grateful to You and Your people.
Jay Jay Ma!
