Rediscovering India

 'Creation'

I landed in India last year, during the first week of October, to start up my own business.
A vision that would bring me closer to this land and closer to my passion in dance.
'Nakshatra Productions' was created with the intention to invite qualified education and performance in the Art of Dance, to the little paradise called Goa.
Associated with Lyndon Alves and his well established event company, Sunset Getaways Goa, Nakshatra will also provide a professional portfolio of all international acts/artists that visit or live in India and network them to potential clients in India and Asia.

The start up has taken one year and I'm proud to say that it's completed and I am already working in India, through 'Nakshatra'.
It's an amazing feeling beyond words..

Living in Goa is quit an experience! As an artist, this land is a portal for all of us to experiment and to create through the symbiotic exchange that all we artists inspire in each other.
It is truly a beautiful space to grow and expand as a human being and as an aspiring artist.

There were many highlights this season. Here are some of the most special moments for me:

1st: My 30th Birthday Party at Shanti Goa. Check out the video of this great gathering of friends and LOVE!!

2nd: Performing Odissi Dance at  Fundacao Orient in Panjim. A Portuguese institute dedicated to ART.

3rd: Queeny Harish Goa Tour sponsored by Nakshatra Productions

4th: Tribal Fest Goa: performing alongside some of my favorite artists in Kathak:
Astha Dixit and Quincy Kendell Charless

By the end of my season in Goa, I received a beautiful gift from Nevada City, California. My favorite little town in the US.
A beautiful women by the name of Shreeleen who travelled all the way to study dance with me at my home studio in Goa.
To share dance with Shreeleen was a journey of Devotion and Sisterhood.
And, a great teaching of embracing your passion no matter what age you are traveling the world with.
I also learned with Shreeleen that I still have so much to learn about being a teacher in dance. This is priceless!

After Goa, I traveled to Mumbai and to Delhi were I dedicated one month to the study of Dance.

I will write more about this experience in a few days :)
For now, enjoy my Goa adventure!

With Love and DEVOTION,
Chantelle
